I'm talking to you, John Edwards. Your wife finally kicked you out after multiple affairs. You forced your loyal friends to cover up your mistakes. You denied your child. You were arrogant enough to make a sex tape while running for President. You used campaign funds as hush money for your mistress. You thought you were invincible. Above it all. Untouchable.
Check that. If you were less touchable, you might not be in this mess.
What kind of man cheats on his wife while she's terminally ill? A woman who bought the child you conceived with another woman while she was in chemotherapy a Christmas gift?
His response to the split: "I still deeply care for Elizabeth." Really? Obviously not enough to keep from giving it deeply to someone else.
As the child of divorce, I've always said that I wasn't sure I'd leave my husband for infidelity. I guess that's a personal choice. Elizabeth did her best to save her marriage, until she was repeatedly humiliated in the most public of ways.
Granted, I don't know the Edwards family. I'm sure Elizabeth has faults. But God bless her for what she's endured the past few years. I'm praying for her and her children.
Secrets have a way of coming out. Remember that, cheaters. Shame on you, John Edwards.

You have to wonder, if Elizabeth had used as much hair product as John if he might have been more attracted to her. Just saying.
"Obviously not enough to keep from giving it deeply to someone else."
Brilliant!!!!! I so agree with you on this!!! Edwards is an idiot not to mention Clinton, Spitzer, Sanford, Hart, etc, etc, etc. At least some of these women are starting a new trend of not standing stoically by their man. People (regardless of gender) deserve better than to be treated like this.
Thank for the post!!
Lela, as much as I do love me some hair product, that's a lame excuse. I'm sure not everyone finds a $88 hair appointment as necessary as I do.
Thanks, Lori B. You get me. And I dig that.
