Well, I finished. I didn't win. I only ran about 100 yards. But I finished 3.2 miles in 44 minutes. Not too shabby.
Granted, there were old people, a guy pushing two kids in a stroller, a woman with a dog, an 8-year-old, and a lady with emphysema who finished ahead of me, but at least I didn't come in last.
There were ten whole people who finished behind me. Jen came in 18th. Pretty impressive.
We celebrated by going to Cracker Barrel where Lonnie said he wasn't very hungry, then promptly ordered three pancakes, grits, two eggs, turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy, and hashbrown casserole.

For good news, flip over to my blog.
I'm not special enough to read your blog. I don't have permission.

Ok..here it is...we had two offers on our house Friday night and now have a contract. We close on July 31st!
Yay for Susan! I'm so excited for you.
When I click on your blog, it says "You do not have permission to view this blog. You are logged on as Lori Walker, and you are not special enough to read this blog." Ok, I made that last part up, but the first part is true.
I'm so glad we finally did this! We'll definitley have to do one on Texas turf. Thanks for housing me and your dorky cousin for the night. I won't even mention your red-neck neighbor repeatedly revving up his 82 ford pick-up at 3am. Hehehe!
Hopefully I'll be getting internet this week (please, dear Lord!) and I'll post our pics.
