I'm sure all of my loyal readers are waiting with baited breath to hear how my first day went on the new job. It was fine. You know how first days are... overwhelming, stressful, apprehensive. I woke up with a sore throat, so I had to detour to USA Drug on my way to work for cough drops to go with my fever blister medication.
I feel as though I've been appointed President of a totally different country and am being asked to interpret the Constitution without ever having read it. Yikes! I had several requests to make budgetary decisions today without ever having seen the budget. I was given an enrollment report that included several acronyms I've never seen. I'll put $50K on SHYC.
So aside from feeling stupid and under the weather, it was an okay day. My first staff meeting went well. We had lunch at some Mennonite restaurant that served a killer baked potato soup and brownie sundae.
I have a jam-packed calendar for the week. Death by meeting. Now I shall ply myself with Nyquil and retire for the evening. Sorry Jen, no time to do your stupid survey tonight.

PS- Remind me to tell you about the man of my dreams who is in my accounting class. He waited for me after class today. He is at least 55. hahahahaha
I'm six months in and still have those days where I feel lost in a forest...others, not so much. Lookin' forward to Friday!
