Pure torture

Geneva Convention aside, today's been a day of pure torture for me. And I'm not talking about the waiting to move/start a new job kind of torture, but the physical kind. Blinding pain.

Since I've been fighting allergies for over a week and the ol' Center of Learning allows its employees to see the doctor for a mere 10 bucks, I decided to head over to the Student Health Center this morning. Prognosis: severe allergy issues with a mild sinus infection. 10 days of antibiotics and a painful shot of steroids. After I quit hobbling I'm going to the batting cages to see how many homeruns I can hit.

At lunch I had the bright idea to have my eyebrows shaped. Have you ever had toothpicks shoved under your toenails? Me neither. But I imagine it would have felt like my eyebrow experience today. As the tears ran down my face, the lady kept saying "You wait too long between times. More hair, more pain." Yeah, no kidding. And when the steriods shot kicks in, it will probably make my hair grow faster and create the need for another eyebrow intervention. What a vicious cycle.
